Hi, I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2015 aged 45. Throughout 2016 had surgery to remove part of bowel right hemicolorectomy, liver resection and chemotherapy. Official remission declared December 2016. I have been having regular CT scans, blood tests and colonoscopys. All clear until............. This October 2020 they have found some lesions on my lungs, both sides. Have been told they are small, so will do another CT in January. Gutted....... found myself today again looking at survival rates and how fast cancer spreads and grows.
I just want to know...if this was metastatic cancer from my original Primary in 2015 surely that would have shown up sooner than 4 years later.................. sigh. Any positive words or just a virtual hug would be good. Back into the ring I go to fight. Thanks . R.
