Worried about upcoming Bowel test, was clear 14 months ago

Does any one no if they is any new treatment for Bowel cancer am so worried I have a bowel test 14 months ago wich was clear. And am due to go for another one in 3 weeks time am so worried it's going pic up cancer and they can't do anything wud blood test show somthink thanks guys

    I know it's difficult but try not to jump to any conclusions or worse case scenarios until you've had the test and the results have come back. Much easier said than done when you're wanting answers but hopefully you'll find out what's going on soon.

    Hi Amanda. Welcome to the forum.

     

    How old are you and why are you having a second test so soon after the first?  The typical interval between colonoscopies is 5 years if you've previously been treated for bowel cancer, and 10 years otherwise.  Are you at particular risk from bowel cancer? 

     

    Most bowel cancers are slow growing so even if your test does find something, there is a huge probability that it will be easily treated and cured.
