I have had the same problems as you, so understand your concerns.  I have had to take time off work, so that I stop talking in order to give my voice a rest. Given that on some days it is so bad that nobody can hear me anyway, this is just as well.  I am getting xrays from my dentist to make sure that the problem is not stemming from that.  I am also awaiting a referal for speech therapy, as well as taking medication for reflux.

I had similar problems some time ago and it went away for ages, but has now come back again.  It could be stress related although I do not think that I am particularly stressed.  I may simply be run down.

I am pleased that the doctors have not been able to find anything wrong with me. I trust that there was anything to really worry about, there would be some evidence of that.  In the meantime, I am going to get on with my life on the basis that, if there was anything bad I would want to fit in as much joy and postive contributions as possible before I am too ill - or worse - to do so. If there is, as I am told, nothing serious wrong I will have wasted valuable time making myself unhappy for no good reason.

Sorry to hear you are also going through this but am glad it is nothing serious.

I may have made progress but I am not sure. I dont know if like me you also have pain or pressure behind your ear? Well I have been in touch with an osteopath and they seem to think that my sore throat is in relation to the muscle leading from my neck to my ear!!! I am going for acupuncture on Friday so I will let you know the outcome!! I really hope this is it!!

Any update on this? Bens struggling the last 8 weeks with a sore throat, my neck is sore too, I have a swollen gland in my neck, and my gp doesn’t seem concerned. I have an ent referral, but waiting list is 24 weeks, and I don’t think I can wait that long! Hope you managed to find something that worked x
