Hi all, just wanted to let out some thoughts and also get a little but of advice if that's okay!
I've had this mole on my back since I was a teenager (now 26) and over the last couple of years it's been changing but I was stupid and didn't want to do anything about it. Just before the start of lockdown my boyfriend said it looked dodgy and I should get it checked, but due to lockdown I didn't want to bother anyone with it since I spoke to the doctor about something else and she was really rude about how busy they were.
Now we are (hopefully) coming out the other side of medical delays due to lockdown etc on Thursday I sent a request to the doctor with a picture and just asked them what I should do. They called me at 8pm and told me to come in the next day (Friday). At my appointment the doctor looked and said it was so different to anything else on my body that she was referring me within 2 weeks and they might do a biopsy so be prepared to be at the appointment a long time.
I got the call today for an appointment at the hospital on Friday. The lady on the phone said it was only a 15 minute appointment though so I'm guessing I won't have the biopsy this week? It all seems really fast and should I be worried? Or do you think they will make me wait on Friday?
The only thing I'm worried about now is that I waited so long that if it comes back as bad news did I bring this on myself?
