Have I got cancer?

So I'm just wondering if I could possibly have cancer, specifically skin cancer(mole). I'm 17 and for maybe a year or longer I don't know I've had a mole that's fairly raised and the raised bit is wobbly. It's on the back of my thigh, it doesn't hurt or anything , it's just very raised and I'm too scared to go to the doctors about it.

    Hi,

    As already advised, for your peace of mind please call your GP. They will be happy to check it out for you. It would be unusual for someone so young to have a cancerous mole but it still needs checking by a doctor.

    Hi Jack.

    We're all scared when we find a new worrying symptom, but hiding your head in the sand NEVER improves the situation:  If the symptom is harmless then you'll probably want your mind set at rest sooner rather than later; and if it's dangerous then you wouldn't want to ignore it and run the risk of it getting worse while you delayed.

    So, face your fears and see your doctor.
