Painful testicles

Whilst drying after a shower my testicles were painful to the touch. I felt around the sack area and it was pretty tender.

I suffer from Chronic Bacterial Prostatiis and have done for over 20 years. Basically they have tried everything and nothing kills the bacteria.

I can go for months pain free and then for no reason I get a flare up.

I have not had pain in the testicles before although right now I am experiencing a mild flare up.

i take prescribed pain killers for that and have a lot of Zits baths.

As I alluded to pain to the touch of the testicles I have never had before.

Hi PD1690. Welcome to the forum.

I am not a doctor and I have no medical qualifications. However, like too suffered from prostatitis (before having my prostate removed) and now I suffer from flare ups giving me painful testicles.

In my case, I get recurrent infections with the tongue-twisting name of epididymitis. The epididymis is a structure at the top of each testicle which is prone to getting infections. Once this happens, the pain is normally at or near the top of one or both testes, and can vary from a slight niggle to full on agony worse than any kick in the naughty bits.

To the best of limited knowledge, the usual treatment is a course of antibiotics, and even if you've just finished a course for your prostatitis, you might still need some more. I suggest you go to your GP asap, because the quicker you start treatment, the quicker you'll feel relief from the pain.
