The hardest message I have ever typed.

Today I was told that the CT scan results had come back for my mum. The GP says the report informs that she has suspected malignant disease in the stomach (there is thickening of the stomach in locations). Also, there are lesions on the liver consistant with a spread of cancer. 

I can only say, I am completely crushed. Heartbroken.

People who know me know I am very close to my mum, I am a 34 year old man who lost my father to bowel cancer when I was 23. My mum was with him all the way through and I wanted to be her rock. To protect her from anything and everything that came her way. This news has destroyed me. Obviously we now wait for endoscopy and biopsy dates to come through so there is the minutest of hopes but reality...

Just needed somewhere to vent, I apologise.
