Hi all,
I have had a swollen neck and lymphoid since march and also just generally feeling low. But due to lockdown I didn't go to the doctors because clearly there was other people very much worse off than me. (Covid) So I just left it. But due to the swelling, which is extremely uncomfortable (not painful) and now my arm pit is swollen, I decided to go to the doctors. They referred me to the ENT unit for a two week priority to check my lymphoids. I'm having an ultrasound tomorrow and possible biopsy and I'm hoping for the best......but my question is, does an ultrasound always detect lymphoma? I'm worries, but I don't want to come across a hypochondriact if they say , its all fine and they don't do a biopsy. Because I know me, I know that something isn't right. What should I do if they say the ultrasound is clear? I've seen forums, where people have said its been missed and then diagnosed later down the line. I have two children at home and I work full time, my husband works away during the week, and I just want to feel normal again, after months of not. Should I ask for a biopsy to make sure? Or should I listen to their advice?
Many thanks for you times. X
