I had an ultrasound scan last week as I had found a lump in my armpit, they told me there and then that it was just a swollen lymph node and nothing to worry about. However I'm still worried sick as I have no known reason for it to be swollen, I've also got pain in other areas of my body where lymph nodes are so I'm making an appointment to go back and see my gp.

Hopefully they will tell you there and then if there is anything or they might want to do a biopsy.

Thank you for your reply. Hopefully they will be able to tell me at my appointment. The wait is sometimes so stressful! In the mean time i am going to make sure i stay well away from google. It has only given me massive anxiety.

The wait is awful and so worrying, I had convinced myself I had breast cancer due to family history and when they said it was just a swollen lymph node I felt so much relief but then I done the worst thing and googled my symptoms as I had no idea what could cause random swelling of lymph nodes and of course everything came back saying cancer so I'm staying away from it now!
