Possible Cervical Cancer - all the symptoms

Hi all,

I'm posting here as have been reading on some of the forums but cannot find a suitable match for my situation. I've also seen how supportive everyone is and could really do with some gentle reassurance right now.

I had my son 3 years ago and on returning to the pill, I was prescribed Rivegedon. I didn't get on very well with it so after about 6 months, I was prescribed microgynon which I had always taken before, 3 months back to back due to endometriosis.

Around 2 months in to taking the pill, I noted some bleeding which had never happened before and when I googled it, I put it down to levels of hormones. Months, years passed and I kept getting this two monthly bleeding which in time, gradually became more frequent to one month. Intermittently I would also get this thick, yellow discharge which smells horrendous and sometimes white discharge in a bowel movement. In the last 4 months, the bleeding has happened every 2 weeks so I thought it was time to book myself in to the doctor.

She examined me two/three weeks ago but was bleeding at the time so she took some swabs for chlamydia and other STIs which I know I dont have as I am married and am barely active with my poor husband.

Anyway, she rang me on Thursday to see how I was and I explained in the last week I had bled for two days, then clear for two, then bled again for two with a small darkish clot on Wednesday when I wiped. She told me my tests were negative and that I should come in for another examination as I was not bleeding that particular day.

Upon examination, she told me that she could see what she could only describe as ulcer on my cervix and wanted to refer me on the two week pathway so here I am, waiting for an appointment and fearing the worst.

Has anyone else been in the same situation or currently in the same situation? I'm worried sick and am posting as after two days of no bleeding, I'm bleeding again moderately heavy and it's set me off crying.

Apologies for the long post and would be ever so grateful for some feedback xx

    When you say a pain . Was it like cramps ? 
    like a period ache ... sorry just seen your message& I have had a severe diagnosis for dyskaryosis & waiting for results . But at the moment I have a ache almost like period cramping in my pelvis & feels bloated

    Hi M.a.b

    No, my pain wasn’t really like period cramps. It’s not always useful to compare symptoms and try and match these to your own as we are all different, and it can serve to increase anxiety. Severe dyskariosis is precancerous cells and while some ladies report pain and symptoms with this, others have no pain at all.

    Hi everyone 

    I came across this forum whilst Googling my symptoms (I know not the best thing to do but it's hard not to isn't it?.)

    I had a baby 8 months ago and since 10 days postpartum I've had ongoing pain in my lower abdomen and lower back. I started to loose bladder control and was referred to a women's health physio, she did a full examination of my pelvis and checked my pelvic floor both were absolutely fine. 

    At the beginning of June I started bleeding, medium to light flow but its been everyday since. I am on the depo provera contraceptive injection and have been since January, it immediately stopped my periods and I didn't experience any breakthrough bleeding until the beginning of June. After a conversation with a contraceptive health nurse, she thought it was unlikely the abnormal bleeding was connected to the injection. 

    I've seen the GP who took some vaginal swabs last week and also advised my cervix was very red and inflamed. I'm still waiting for the results of the swabs, it's apparently taking a little longer than normal for results to come back. The GP has also referred me to gynaecology, I should receive an appointment in the next week or so. 

    I'm trying so desperately not to worry and I don't really know the point of my post, other than I'm not really sure who to talk to as I don't want to worry my friends and family.

    My diagnosis  was stage 2b when I was first diagnosed. Bit of a shock, but not the end of the world!

    I have today just come back from an appointment and I could if write your post myself as it's very similar to me,Excoet I get pain and bleeding after sex,pain during sex and back and lower pelvic pain?x

    Hi was this ladies symptoms the same as what has been posted?

    I am experiencing exactly the same along with pain during sex,pain after sex in lower back and lower pelvis as well as bleeding x

    I replied to you on another thread...sorry, I didn’t understand what question you were asking in the first line of your post here? Could you explain who you are referring to please? Which lady and symptoms are you asking about? x

    Heyy im in the same situation had bleeding for 4 weeks and found a sore on side of my cervix and unable to to screening as im bleeding ... iv got all symptoms ... Im jusy wondering what your results was?

    Got an app with gyno monday and im dreading it
