Hello,
Apoligies if I've posted in the incorrect section.
I know my issue might seem trivial in retrospect to others, but I suffer from immense health anxiety so I just thought I'd ask for advice.
I recently developed a very hard, moveable lump under the right side of my jaw (in the flesh unde my chin) a few weeks ago. It's feels very firm and is about 1cm in size; I can feel it easily when pushed against my jawbone.
I phoned the doctors who give me a prescription for antibiotics over the phone. I've taken them for 4/5 days and no change.
The lump on the other side is very difficult to feel in context to this more prominent one.
I've also developed a spot right above the moveable lump that I can't pop but I feel that may be unrelated.
I don't have any more symptoms.
I'm due to have another appointment with the doctor on Friday, annoyingly over the phone again.
I guess I'm just worried that this may be cancer (lymphoma, ect) because everything I've stupidly read online has scared me about the very hard lump.
I had dental issues last year. A root canal was performed in February this year due to that.
Am I being irrational being so scared of a pea sized lump under my chin deep inside near my throat, or is can this be normal?
Many thanks in advance.
A.
