Welcome to Cancer Chat. I can certainly understand your worries as it's never easy waiting for results.

As you say, no-one can really advise on your situation - it's best to wait for the results and discuss everything with your doctor. In terms of coping mechanisms, naturally everyone is different but firstly do try to stay away from Google as this can often increase worry and the information is often not relevant.

Some say it helps to keep busy to try to keep your mind off things while waiting. Try not to assume anything one way or the other, and carry on as normal while waiting for your appointment - and at that point as I say use it as an opportunity to ask any questions you have.

thanks so much for your reply it's very comforting to hear of others experiences and I'm so glad yours turned out not to be sinister.

I have an ovarian cyst which is simple blood filled and under 5cm. But I also have fluid in the Fallopian tube which the gynae dr said they can't be sure what it is so cannot rule out cancer and offered to take away the one tube and ovary but I've asked them to take the lot away as I have a bowel cancer gene which makes me more pre disposed to gynae cancers than the general population more commonly a risk though from the age of 40 onwards I have only recently turned 30. I had ca125 bloods done which came back as 12. 

I go from one minute being calm and relaxed to then freaking out and imagining the worst I look at my little boy and just pray I don't have to leave him. 

I am 30 too. It is nerve wracking the whole process especially when you have children too, my daughter is 6.

They weren't sure with me initially and thats why I had to have another scan, the wait was excruciating and at my follow up they did offer to take out my tube too but also said it wasn't doing any harm so I've decided not to go for surgery.

It sounds like they're just being cautious with your history which is a good thing. As hard as it is, stay away from the Internet as much as possible. I tell myself now that worrying won't affect the outcome anyway. When I had this scare it drove me mad with anxiety but this time around I'm determined not to lose so much time fretting about something when I don't know anything for certain and just keep busy as much as possible. I really do know how hard it is.
