Just after some advice. ?Lymphoma worries

Heyy,

So last year i went through haematology in May/June for possible lymptoma. They weren't concerned at that time. Symptoms of itching all over, feeling really tired, night sweats and my ESR came back at 17 which isnt high but raised slightly, CRP came back slightly raised too. Other bloods have been boarderline normal. Sometimes my platelets are high and the seperate parts of my whit cells are lower like nutrophils/lymphocytes but overall normal. Had a CT scan in May last year and nothing was seen.

So 1 year later still feeling poop, still getting night sweats, random itching but not as bad. Now howevee i have had a persistant low grade fever since jan/feb almost everyday. Paracetamol doesn't touch it, anti fungals doesnt touch it i have a toe nail issue and questioned if it could cause it and nope. Covid 19 screen is negative. This weekend had a kidney infection which has never happened before in my life. I have been on antibiotic since saturday finish them today tempreture is still consistantly 38- 38.4. I am exhausted if i am honest. My abdomen feels swollen around the spleen/liver area and has been for the past month or two however due to covid my gp's are not seeing patients with a temp. I had a lump in my armpit start of this year had an ultrasound and was told its fine and it eventually went away. My mum has noticed that the left side of where my jaw meets my neck is more swollen than the right and the lump was in the left armpit.

I think basically i am asking if anyone has any experience with persistant temps and did you find a cause for it ? Whether cancer or not? Should i attempt to explain this to my doctor?

Thanks for reading this essay and i hope you guys are as well as you can be sending love. Xxx

  • Hello Sammyg2010,

You should explain this to your doctor and hopefully that will help you get to the bottom of your symptoms.

    Best wishes,

  • Thank you.

I have been the doctor multiple times and they don't know whats happening.

  • Soo....things get weirder now there seems to be a swelling on/just under jaw line that is noticable :/

Anyone any petsonal experiences of this? Ive just started a new job despite feeling ill most of the time and i just wanna work not worrying about my health ‍♀️ thanks lovelies xx

  • Hi,

Sorry i do not have any advice but in a very similar situation and here to chat if you need. Yourbpost made me join.

So end if feb I reported lumps in my thigh and gp sent request for ultrasound but it got cancelled due to covid. Fast forward to now 4 blood tests with raised white blood cells. Ruled out thyroid and menopause. Lumps are now in my groin armpit back and neck. Continuous sore throat. My ultrasound is now on the 23rd but its getting worse quick im in pain but told to take paracetamol. My night sweats i have had for over a year and generally put been tired down to planning wedding and work. I feel the process has been so drawn out and as things progress the outlook is fuzzy when you do not know what the hells going on.

Hopefully we can find some amazing support on this group as things progress xx

  • Hiya,

    Thanks for commeneting :)

Yeah it is fuzzy when you have no idea what is happening. I have been to my gp this morning and they are doing bloods again.

I hope we both find amswers soon. X

  • Hello, did any of you guys find out what was going on?  Also, were your fevers all day, or just at night?

i am going through a similar thing.  Elevated CRP and Sed rate but normal blood work otherwise.  Every night at around 6 or 7pm, my temperature spikes to around 99.7-99.9F.  It returns to normal by morning at 97.7F.  I have some sweating and burning sensation in my neck at night.

i have persistent cervical lymph nodes from a year and half ago that doctors think are benign.  Ultrasound last year said likely reactive, and a PET/CT in January of this year was normal.  I'm at a loss.

  • Hiya,

Ive been told ive got reactive lymph nodes in my neck but still getting temps which can be for the whole day :/ i waiting to see rhumatology for possible auto immune problems.
