I am a 30 year old man. I normally check my testicles at least once a month when in the shower, although not normally that thoroughly. Just the front and sides. I was checking more thoroughty today and thought I could feel a small bump on the lower part of my left testicle, more towards the bottom on the inside. Admittedly, I do not know that much about the testicular structure but this made me panic for a short time. I googled about it and found that there is a part of the scrotum called the epididymis. Based on diagram, this seems to cover a large portion of the rear part of the testicle, including the bottom and top. I checked again a bit later and coudn't find anything, then checked a bit later and felt a bit of a bump, but I couldn't be sure. However, I have checked again a few times this evening and I can't seem to find anything. Considering it is not on the front or outside part of my left testicle, I am wondering if I am possibly confusing it with the epididymis which may have got in the way of my earlier check-up. I am also wondering how I should proceed with this? Seeing as I haven't been able to locate it again, I was thinking of just checking each day for the next week and if I find it again, I should try and see my GP. Obviously that might be quite difficult at the moment but better to be safe than sorry! However, I think everyone will have some form of health anxiety at the moment and I am wondering it I may just be overreacting? I feel that if it was a serious issue, then the lump would be a lot more noticeable, but I've probably examined the area about 20 times since early afternoon and haven't been able to find anything of note.
