Worried I have lymphoma

My dad died from lymphoma over 6 years ago. I'm currently waiting to see ENT as an urgent referral from my GP. Should be within two weeks from 6th May but who knows with covid. Symptoms started two months ago. Fatigue, low grade temps up to 38 and enlarged neck glands. Blood tests normal except for showing low iron. I'm on meds for that now. They ran an inflammation test. Normal. So now I'm waiting to be seen. I've not lost weight. Still have a good appetite but for two months I'm still getting low grade temps and enlarged neck glands. They don't hurt to touch but my neck can feel achey. Has anyone with lymphoma ever started out with similar symptoms?

  • My temp has been high last 4 days. Today I woke up and it was 38.1. Ive made a telephone appointment for two weeks time as it's now three months of this. I want to know for sure it's definitely a virus because it's gone on so long. I sometimes get a few days off and then it's full on again. I want to know for sure nothing else is also going on X

  • Ohh i hope it does get better for both of us. Same with me i would have a good day and then bad ones but so far it only went up to 37.8. If you take paracetamol does it go down? Mine doesn't go down from pills i dont know why

    xx

  • Hi it generally goes down a bit but not always with medicine. 14th March is when it all began. What a year 2020 has been so far x

  • Hi, how are you? I've had a bad week of mostly 38 temps and extreme fatigue. I found this article. Worth a read about covid and symptoms like ours: www.nbcnews.com/.../ncna1197806

  • Hi oh im sorry to hear that your temp is still going up. So this week i have been relatively ok with temps around 37.3/4 around daytime which i believe to be ok sometimes it will be 37.6 but i dont think is gone higher then that. Im trying to take my temp less otherwise i keep being very anxious about it. Can you not move ur appointment forward? Xx

  • Hey how have you been? My temp has been about 37.6 and in the evening goes to 37.8... im starting to think this is normal for me??or maybe because sometimes my face gets really hot and my ears and that causes mu termometer to say i have a low grade fever..?!
i hope you are well.. didn't hear from you in a while x

  • Hey how are you feeling? I haven't heard from you recently? As for me i am still the same with low grade fever

  • Hi, sorry I haven't been on for a bit. I'm the same. Still up and down with fevers and feeling fatigued. Since mid March. I spoke to my doctor this morning. He said he has some other patients the same as me and it's covid. He told me covid tests would likely be negative for many people unless they test at the start. He also said antibody tests are only for nhs at the moment but also not reliable. He is giving me a blood test tomorrow which he said should indicate covid but also he just wants to run a general check again anyway. He said he's sure it's covid though as my symptoms and like many others. Some people take a long time to get better. He said I won't be contagious after this long but he can't say how long it will take for me to be better. X

Hi, just thought I'd check in and see how you're doing! I had a negative antibody test for covid but I was told they're only 70% accurate by my GP and timing of them is important too. I'm still getting low grade fevers. 5 months now. I have a phone appointment with my GP in two weeks time as the fatigue, clammy skin and fevers up to around 38 for so many months is making me wonder if there is anything they could have missed. I'm also going to ask if they could give me a note so I can go to things like the dentist etc as they check temps. How are you doing? I hope you're feeling better x

  • Hello,

first of I am 20 male and suffer with really bad health anxiety

so about 4 maybe 5 days ago I noticed that my gland under my right jaw where the jaw bone is if this makes sense (hopefully)

was slightly raised, now I don't have any symptoms I haven't lost weight not that I know of anyways, and I don't have night sweats etc but ever since going on google I'm so scared all I've read the past week has been about lymphoma and not the good stories either :( I've sent myself going crazy. I'm even scared to go to the doctors as I don't want to be told you haven't got long left. My mother says I'm fine but just so scared I even got jaw pain and a sore throat on one side and still think it's cancer or soemthing.

again sorry for this post I just need to vent and need advice or maybe some help with my anxiety

    thanks for reading
