Hi Everyone,
This is my first post, I suppose I am mainly looking for some piece of mind or some advice on what to do as I find myself in this predicament.
Approx 2 years ago I came down really unwell, fatigue, pain and incredibly sore throat. I was eventually told I had bacterial tonsillitis and was treated with antibiotics however after treatment symptoms persisted and after many drs visits and a blood test I was told I had the EBV virus (glandular fever) one symptom I really noticed was a swelling on the right side of my neck.
Fast forward 2 years and I feel fully recovered only I can still feel a small pea sized lump in my neck. It's easily movable and soft. I've bought this to my drs attention multiple times as I can be a worrier however they've constantly told me not to worry and sometimes that they can't even feel anything. I started to doubt over the last 2 years how I was feeling and brushed it off as nothing however now I also experience regular tightness in my neck and an achy pain.
I'm terrified this is something more serious, my Nan is a current sufferer of AML and I get worried sick this lump is a sign of cancer. My drs just tell me it's nothing though, and I don't know what to do.
Goggle is my enemy right now as of course all signs point to cancer and it's just aiding my worries.
Has anyone had anything similar? Or does anyone have any advice, it would be massively appreciated!
Thank you!
