Lymph node raised for over 3 years

First of all I hope somebody could help me with my worries.

Around 3 years ago I noticed my lymph node in my neck by my jaw was raised I had recently had a viral infection so Palmed it off then in the coming weeks I noticed I was having changes in my bowel movements and my arm was burning without any reason. I put it all down to stress as I thought it was something else. I went to the docs he did a full blood test and blood count and took a stool sample it all come back ok.

But my lymph node is still raised so I'm worrying about lymphoma.

Any help would be greatly received

The lymph node hasn't got bigger is painless aswell

  • Bless you Hammer, could you either speak to your GP or phone the helpline and speak to the nurses here, they are really nice.

  • Have you spoke to them before I was tempted but didn't

  • I stewed and worried over my lump a few days, and rang 111 in the first instance.

The clinician there told me to get a 3 day face to face appointment with my GP.

The receptionist got me in as soon as possible and GP thought it was an ulcer, this was mid march.

GP said if it hasnt gone in 2 weeks to go back.

Meanwhile I got text from surgery asking people not to come to surgery, but when the 2 weeks was up, I phoned and the same GP said he would refer me, as his guidance said to, see a  maxillo facial surgeon who would decide if I need a biopsy.

When I saw the surgeon yesterday, she said it could be a blocked gland but did a biopsy anyway.

I must stress she said it is ROUTINE.

The procedure was not as painful afterwards as I thought, they made out it would be sore, but it is ever so slightly sore.

Sorry I missed your private message, I have now messaged you, hope to speak soon.
