Egg sized neck lump, dizziness, headache, nausea

Hi Everyone, just wanted to see if anyone has been through the same. I have been suffering from the above plus blurred vision, pins and needles numbness for a long time and peripheral vision loss which comes back after a few seconds. But now I have this egg sized lump that has grown on the back on my neck and the doctor has decided on an emergency ultrasound. Before this lump my symptoms which I have had since 2013 weren't taken very seriously.

Has anyone had the same and do you know what it could be ? I also have neck and face pain on the side where the lump it which goes into my back and shoulder. Thanks.

  • Bless you, I haven't  been through the same.

    Sorry you've waited for reply.

Lumps and bumps need looking at, to rule out anything nasty.

I am glad the doctor decided on an emergency ultrasound.

    Have you had it yet?

Sorry I cannot share your experience, but am here to listen and keen for you to keep us upto date.

  • Thank you for the reply. No I havent. Due to the coronavirus the hospital decided my situation wasn't serious enough so I won't be having a scan. I have also developed a swelling at the base of my skull now but they said it's not a medical emergency. Very frustrating as I am in alot of pain and uncomfortable and still working as front line staff.

  • I didn't know you were front line staff, you are all troopers.

Can you ask them why they think the situation isn't serious enough and no scan and why they think what they do about the swelling on base of skull?

i'm not trying to worry you I just bet you want clarification.

Your doctor needs to know that you are in a lot of pain.
