Lumps and bumps need looking at, to rule out anything nasty.

I am glad the doctor decided on an emergency ultrasound.

Thank you for the reply. No I havent. Due to the coronavirus the hospital decided my situation wasn't serious enough so I won't be having a scan. I have also developed a swelling at the base of my skull now but they said it's not a medical emergency. Very frustrating as I am in alot of pain and uncomfortable and still working as front line staff.

I didn't know you were front line staff, you are all troopers.

Can you ask them why they think the situation isn't serious enough and no scan and why they think what they do about the swelling on base of skull?

i'm not trying to worry you I just bet you want clarification.

Your doctor needs to know that you are in a lot of pain.

I've been experiencing the same symptoms for nearly a year. Now a lump on the base of my skull has started to appear. I have already had an MRI 2 weeks ago, this was due to limited movement with my neck and super bad headaches. The result was that I have serve degradation in my neck due to osteoarthritis. They also decided to give me a CT scan of the brain on the 17th December, now this lump has appeared. But none of the other symptoms have decreased. I'm at a loss I'm the only one who seems concerned with this, am totally at a loss.

Sorry to hear about this for you!!!!  I am also exactly the same as you. 

I also have a lump based of my skull. Top of my spine. It was a softish lump and within a week it was hard and had grown.

I have been in and out if hospital with severe headaches since September.  Had a CT and was all clear now I still have the headache. But also have weakness of my leg and arm and like a tingling sensation across where the lump is and some middle back pain. I have literally just checked the lump and pressed down down felt sick and went all dizzy. 

I also have had face and jaw pain especiallyy behind my ears which is strange.  I also feel sick.all the time. 

The doctor is sending me for an MRI but still waiting for appointment. He doesn't think it should be anything serious but would like to get it checked out. 

Have you heard any more? 

I found a hard lump left side of my neck. Doesn’t move.... makes me feel dizzy, foggy like hangover symptoms. Had to practically beg my go for a ultrasound, which came back clear... just had an MRI scan and currently waiting for the results. I’m terrified because I know something is wrong! Had the lump for about 9 months, feels more like a hard mass than a lump.    

Aww I hope you get sorted. Does the lump move?  Is it painfull to touch?

I had a severe head pain in sept which brought me into hospital has CT on my head but not neck and the head was clear. But its worrying me now that it was the lump in my neck that caused it.  

Its not sore but makes me feel sick. Yesterday I thought it has gone but this morning it's more prominent again I don't know if that's a good thing.  How long did you wait for.your MRI mine is on Sunday this week. 

Sorry it does move but not much. And my neck aches so.bad.
