Should I be concerned?

Hello,

Just sharing my concerns with symptoms and the fact I have an ultrasound tomorrow. I am 51 years young and progressively been feeling worse since Christmas with initially a dull ache in the right side of my lower stomach which came and went daily. I felt bloated at times but that could be for other reasons. I saw my doctor whom tested my urine to find I had an infection but also did a CA125 test too but that came back normal. I then developed increased discharge which really worried me, I went back to the doctor. She took a swab but that also came back normal. I called again as I still had pain and persistent discharge hence my appointment for the ultrasound. This evening I have had quite sharp pains in my stomach which made me squeal three times and then seem to settle to be followed by further discharge. I then did feel discomfort in the top of my right leg... I think I may sound paranoid but I really don't feel right at all and am now anxious about the scan tomorrow but so glad I'm going!

  • Hi Julieee

I am currently receiving chemotherapy for Bowel cancer after successful surgery last end of July.

I can understand your fears and concerns but it is good to be checked out to put your mind at rest of anything. All the symptoms may well be linked or they maybe something completely different but having the test should rule in or out things. I was rather lucky where I had a liver abscess and s deep-seated stomach infection where I got sent for a colonoscopy and found out I had stage 2 bowel cancer as I had no symptoms at all. I hope you get the peace of mind and a confirmation of what you need/looking for.

    Stay safe
