I have some swelling to one breast I am 25 years old my GP has referred me to the breast clinic and have an appointment for this week because it's an urgent referral does anyone no if I will recieve my results on the day or be treated like a standard mammogram routine check and have to wait up to two weeks? Any advice appreciated

    Welcome to our forum. I hope that you will hear from others here who have been in a similar situation and that they will come and share their experience with you. The best thing to do maybe is to ask them when you go there for your appointment whether they know how long it will take for you to get these results and whether they can tell you more on the day.

    Hello,

    you may well be told at your appointment. I was told my lump was nothing to worry about however a follow up two weeks later proved otherwise.

    I guess what I'm saying is there are no black and white answers. But do if you can try and take someone with you, it can be a long morning or afternoon and there's so much waiting around.
