I am in the process of have tests for 2 lumps in my throat and neck. The specialist says it's too aggressive and is cancer. I am due to see him again on the 20 March for results. My question and worry is I have 2 dogs, no family or  friends. I do not know what to expect so do not know whether I am looking for short term care or adoption for my dog's. Any advise would be gratefully appreciated.

    sorry you find yourself here but we're a supportive lot. 

    I went through chemo and there was no way I could have looked after my dog, my husband had that job thank goodness. I know chemo differs and we all respond differently but I think it's best to err on the side of caution, temporary foster would be a good start, that way you can see them if your up to it with the knowledge that all being well you'll have them home when your stronger....

    i know your specialist says its aggressive ( mine was too) but there's every chance you'll respond well to treatment and have a future to look forward to with your dogs.

    Hi, I am so sorry that on top of everything thing else you are so worried about your beloved dogs, I have two of my own.  There is an organisation called the ‘Cinnamon Trust’ get in touch with them, I am certain that they will be able to help you.  Through my work with a different animal charity, I have heard many personal stories about the help that they can give.  Please contact me if you would like more information or just to talk.
