Hi Nancy, don't worry it's in the right place. I know don't worry doesn't mean a lot but hip pain could be loads of things. Googleing is worst thing you can do you always get the worst thing going. This forum have people who have or had cancer and know first hand treatment options and anything else you need to know. But unfortunately we can't help (it could easily be something else) until we have some details.. Good luck for your father. Thinking of him and his family. We know it effects you all. I'll just give you an idea my psa was 1581 diagnosed Feb 2016 prostate Cancer gone to lymph nodes, spine, ribs, pelvis and a lung classed as palliative care. I live with my uninvited guest. I'm a carer for my disabled wife she needs 24 /7 care she has Alzheimers and parkinsons. I was working until wife got ill. I'm 68 now. No problems just carrying on housework caring, shopping and such.. Prostate Cancer is treatable plenty of options.. If i or others can help in any way please let us know. Best wishes.... Billy

Thank you for sharing this. You sound like an incredible person. 
I think the worry is sometimes the worst bit. But I can't pretend to know how you felt after going through all that. I can only send positive vibes and you've done amazingly also being a carer. I am familiar with Alzheimer's, my grandparents had it and I can absolutely understand all of the stress and strain that can cause.

Thank you. The only other cause of my worry is that my dad sometimes rushes to the toilet for a wee. It could be other things but as you can imagine, coupled with the hip pain I'm concerned.

I see why your worried. But on here there are gents that have different stages of cancer and different treatments so once you have details at least one of us will be able to give you a good idea of treatment and any side effects. IF and I'll still say IF information is needed..
