I recently had the same procedure and was told bleeding is possible regardless of whether they take a biopsy or not. 

If it's worrying you though, you should give the hospital a ring to check. They should have given you a number to call when you had the procedure. 

Thank you for this. I didn't get given anything after the procedure so really didnt  know what to expect.

This reassures me. I guess It will just tail off after a few days.

Hi, i know this post was a while ago im just wondering was the bleeding normal and clear after your colposcopy? I had a colposcopy yesterday and no biopsies were taken yet this morning ive woken up to bleeding im sort of freaking out as they never mentioned bleeding to me. Help!!
