Hi, 

My name is Sophie and I am 16 years old. I am extremely anxious about any type of health and this is what led me on to this page. I know that it is extremely rare for me to get it because of my age and I have had some sort of injection to help prevent vaginal cancer however I am worried about what it is. 
 

I found a small lump at the top out labia. It was itchy and therefore when I itches it gave a sharp pain, sharp enough for me to want to cry. So at first I couldn't work out what the problem was and I ended up having to shave to see what was wrong and when I saw it I didn't know where to go. I am shy to when it comes around to talki nag about my body especially around my downstairs. I have brought it up with a family member and they said to wait a week but I would just want to know other peoples opinions. 
 

I would also like to know because I find it awkward that I would most likely put off an appointment because I am too shy to talk about myself so I would like some advice on that too.
