Any suggestions?

I've had a lump on my thigh for about 2 months now and it hurts when I kick a ball and after I get home from football, it's quite big and some ppl say it looks like another knee but I've just ignored it cause it doesn't hurt as much at the moment, it seems like it's getting bigger. I don't know if I should go to the GP or not because it's probably nothing, any suggestions?

  • Go to your GP as soon as you can and get that checked out.

Those symptoms may well not be indicative of anything sinister...but, although I am not medically qualified to comment, that does not sound normal. So please don't delay.

  • Hi Ac5000. Welcome to the forum.

Most lumps are harmless but you shouldn't take any chances.  You should show this to your doctor. You might need some minor surgery to remove it.

I had a number of lumps in my arm way back in the year 2000.  They were removed under local anaesthetic and the whole procedure took less than 30 minutes.  I had no residual pain, just some scars, and even they have faded now.  The lumps weren't cancerous, but I was still glad when they were gone.
