Hi all,
Basically I'm worried as pretty much everyone is on here! And I'm just looking for opinions/thoughts....
I've been having lower abdo tightenings for a couple of months. I wouldn't call it pain - and it mainly happens after I've been sitting down for a long time - it feels like my trousers are digging in and almost like I'm bruised and that I've not completely 'emptied' - and I'm much better after standing up and walking around.
I went to the GP who ordered bloods & a stool test. The bloods all came back completely fine - but the Faecal Calprotectin came back as abnormal (250). My GP decided to refer me to the Hospital for a Flexible Sigmoidoscopy - this referral was done as routine though (2 months ish) as I've got no other symptoms beyond slightly loose bowels which is normal for me.
I asked should I be worried and the GP said as the bloods came back fine and I've got no other 'Red Flag' symptoms that it wouldn't be anything serious to worry about - but is that true? Can (should) they really say that?
I've now got a long wait to find out what's going on and I'm very worried it's something more sinister (Prostate Cancer runs in the family).
Thoughts/Opinions anyone?!
