Hi,
I'm new to posting here so bear with me. I'm going through the horrible phase of tests, waiting for biopsy results, and trying to find out exactly what is wrong with me.
Started as a little niggly pain lower left abdomen on Christmas day morning. Went to GP a few days later when pain was getting slightly worse, was very tender when she examined me, but had no other symptoms. She ordered an ultrasound. The following day I woke in excruciating pain at 5am, I couldn't move any part of my body without the sharp pain searing through my whole left abdomen. Fortunately, my OH had not yet left for work so he and my daughter took me to A&E. The pain subsided a lot over the following days, now I can just feel that it is swollen (if that makes sense?).
To cut a very long story short, over a series of weeks now I have had X-rays, blood tests, CT scan, Ultrasounds, Hysteroscopy and an attempted MRI scan (I told them I was claustrophobic, but they still sent me!). The scans showed a thickened endometrium and a fluid-filled left fallopian tube. Because of the thickened endometrium, I had the hysteroscopy so waiting for the biopsy results from that - they said 4-6 weeks wait! That was last Wednesday. CA125 test came back normal. The MRI scan was supposed to get a better look at everything, but i couldn't do it. Felt a right idiot but I did tell them! I'm now just waiting for the next step.
Has anyone else had a similar experience to this?
