Can’t stop worrying

Hi I'm new to this and just want to get some thing of my chest

my partner had a MRI test a few days ago as his bloods came back high, I'm so worried about the results , that it may be prostate cancer, I'm dreading the day he gets them back , I'm trying not to worry but it's hard

  • Hi,

This may or may not be a help to you, but my Dad is currently going through the waiting game as we haven't had biopsy, MRI or CT results back yet and have to wait until they have them all. My advice to you based on how I'm coping, is to take each day as it comes and try and keep some kind of normality. Also do things that make you feel happy, go to a happy place whether it's a restaurant you like, a film, a walk etc. Remember treatment is phenomenal now and he is in the system and in the best care. Fingers crossed it's not the dreaded C (we've called ours Jeff now) but if it is, just know that it doesn't mean the end. Ok? Stay positive. Lots of love x

  • Thankyou so much for your support , I hope your dads going to be alright too, sending lots of love xx

  • Feel free to message whenever you like. Stay positive and have hope! Xxx

  • I'm trying so hard , my partner doesn't know I have been crying for the past two days over it , he's told me not to worry until we get the results xx

  • Hi Janet, if and i mean IF your partner has thares different options depending on stage. There are three people on forum who have have different types of treatment, so If he has prostate Cancer, we will help to make things clearer for you. Remember IF best wishes...... Billy

  • All I can say is try to get on as best you can. I was diagnosed with a cancer under my tongue on the 13th Dec.  Went in for the op. the first week of Jan., out the next day.    I was really worried beforehand and concerned about my speech afterwards, but I'm doing great and back to work next week. This may help but be assured, the help and reassurance you will get in the near future will , I'm sure , be of the highest calibre.

    All the best.   Col.
