Dear all,

Last summer they found a lump on my breast. Had mammogram and biopsy and was told it is a benign fibroadenoma. 

Next week I have an appointment with the consultant to talk about it and, mainly, to discuss if I want to have it removed or if I am happy to leave it.  Back in August I certainly wanted it removed as I was so stressed about it. Now I have learnt to live with it and often forget it is there as it is not painful or anything.

Part of me wants to leave it and avoid surgery but part of me wants it removed, just in case...

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Would love to hear your personal experiences.
