My friend was called on the same day and given a biopsy. She did have cancer but it's now totally in remission. It's probably because they didn't get a clear image as someone else has said. There's no point saying don't worry, but try to think EVEN if it is bad news, you'll be treated and sorted promptly. Let us know how you get on and will say a prayer that its good news x
I know it's a really scary time, and no mater what anyone says, you'll still feel nervous and scared ..
But yea my first 4 call backs were all all o.k .. fatty tissue etc .. and one lump felt like a flat pebble .. and another moved .. some were painful , some not ... but each one , I'd panicked... and all were benign... then I found out 8.5 out of ten lumps are o.k .. I'd wish I'd have known that fact earlier .. I would not have got into such a state ..
My last lump was positive ... but trust me, it's not the news it was years ago .. I had a grade three breast cancer... and masectomy in July 2017 ... I came on here, at the same time as another 5/6 were diagnosed ... all different stages and treatments... but most of them have gone back to their life post cancer... and only pop back now and again ... we didn't loose one of them ...
So try to keep busy .. coz no amount of panic will change the outcome .. and let us know how you go .. so we can give you either a high 5 or a hand to hold through it ...
Chrissie thank you so much for sharing that ,I hope you are doing okay now .Yes it's worrying and I know I have to face it , obviously I am hoping for a high 5 ,I am so glad I came on here to ask ,I feel slightly better knowing it might be nothing ,thankyou and take care xx
