Hi,
Wishing you all a very happy new year, hope it brings you lots of happiness.
I am starting out the year with the same concerns I started the last one with! Back in January 2018 I started bleeding in between periods, sometimes it was just spotting but other times it was quite heavy (almost resembling a period) Since then, I have been to multiple doctors, for multiple scans and the only thing I have been told is that it is Cervical Erosian.
I had a regular smear result back in July 2019 and but it's now been two years of bleeding and panic. Has anyone else had this? My main concern is that something may be missed. The bleeding is dismissed a lot by GP but I see it every month without fail and it's always on my mind. I know that they only test smear samples for HPV now and if there is no sign of it, the sample is destroyed and not tested further.. but isn't that only linked to 97% of CC?
I've also been getting leg and back pain (although in my legs it's more like a numbness/ache which I know, cannot be down to exercise or overdoing it... I'm not the most active person!) It is worse at night, I have a water bottle or bath to soothe it but they just feel bad.
I guess I'm looking for some kind of reassurance that this kind of thing happens. Or if you have had a similar experience, how did you communicate with the doctors? I have been a lot (I am probably annoying them with how many times I have been back) and I don't feel like they are addressing my concerns. I am 28 and my periods have been regular for 13 years. I have an appointment tomorrow PM so will hopefully get a referral tomorrow and go to a gynaecologist but any advise on how to voice my concerns would be appreciated as I must not be doing a good job at the moment.
Thank you for taking the time to read and I do apologies if I have misjudged where to post this.
All the best.
