Hi,
I had a routine smear test done last Friday, after it was done, the nurse said she could see a lump on my cervix and didn't know wherher it was a polyp or something more sinister. I was then rushed straight to the doctor so she could give a second opinion. She also wasn't sure what it was and has sent an urgent 2 week referral to go to the hospital and see a Gynecologist. I wondered whether anyone could offer any support/advice or if anyone has been through something similar? I am going out of my mind with worry and can't help but think the worst.
A few times I have had abnormal bleeding (between periods) as it wasn't every month or consistent, I put it down to the contraceptive pill. I have also been bleeding since the smear test.
