‘Urgent’ appointment for results. Bad news?

Hello. I’m new here so I’m not really sure if I’m posting in the right place. Sorry if I’m not, but I really wanted some advice.

A week ago I had a bone biopsy to check for possible bone mets that was inconclusive on scans. I’ve had a call to go in for a (according to the secretary) ‘urgent’ appointment during clinic next week. Does this guarantee that it’s going to be bad news? I’m desperately hoping ‘urgent’ also means ‘last minute’ because I didn’t have an appointment booked in to get my results, but...I don’t know. Right now my head is spinning and I’ve convinced myself it has to be bad news. It’s just the use of the word ‘urgent’ that’s throwing me off.

    Hi Cd68.

This is definitely the right attitude to have. You will find that the more positive you can be about what lies ahead, the better you'll deal with it all. Place your faith in your care team and let them get on with it. They do this day in day out and really know what they're doing.
