Heya,
I went to the doctors about a month ago because for about a year now I've had bleeding between periods and heavy clots when menustrating. The doctor suspected it could be endometriosis, I had some bloods taken and now fast forward to yesterday evening where I went to have a vaginal examination. This is when the doctor tells me my blood results have come back and my ca 125 levels are higher than normal, at 54, which could signify a tumour. She said given my other symtoms she thinks it will be endometriosis and not to worry, however, of course I am.
I have an ultrasound on Saturday, thankfully not too far away but I'm terrified I have cancer. I was wondering if any other women had higher levels of ca 125 and it turned out not to be ovarian cancer. I'm trying hard not to be consumed with worry but I can't help thinking "what if", I've heard that ca 125 levels are only really high in women with endometriosis if it's severe and if I'm being honest, if I do have endometriosis I don't experience constant pelvic pain.
Thank you,
