I recently had an upper GI endoscopy as I've been suffering from Gastro Oesophagal Reflux Disease (GERD) since mid August. The consultant spoke to me after the procedure & advised that I had antral gastritis in my stomach & a 'tiny' nodule at the gastro oesophagal junction that was inflamed. Otherwise he didn't seem overly worried but my symptoms including persistent heartburn, painful swallowing, loss of weight have been going on for some time. I am due to get the results of the biopsies this week but can't help worrying that these will show something more serious.
