Hi,
Had a uterine biopsy last week - dr is rushing result as she is clear there is a tumour and she is concerned about it. She straight up said it could be cancer and talked MRIs and surgery. I will know on Monday. Obviously I'm very stressed and preparing for the worst. And hoping for the best.
I'm 43 and single. I haven't told my family yet as there's no point worrying them. But I'm really bothered by the reaction of a few close friends I've told. I'm getting nothing. I'm pretty laid back usually and I'm sure they think I'm being hysterical (I've not even cried). I've even showed one of them the notes from the biopsy which says possible malignancy/large mass and she was like 'oh let me know of you need anything'. Then heard nothing for days except a text about her having had a rubbish day at work and another about organising a weekend away in January. I cant quite believe it. I politely text back about hanging fire until I knew my results and shes not responded again for 2 days. We usually chat every day. What is wrong with people? I'm.not asking to be cared for but a how you doing wouldn't hurt.
I do have great friends who are dropping everything to be with me on Monday but God I could scream about the others.
I guess sorting the wheat from chaff is part of the process.
