www.cancerresearchuk.org/.../worried-about-a-lump-found-on-my-chest

this user described it better than I could, anyone know what this is ? I can't get a doctors appointment until dec , only just lost my grandad to cancer we cared for him at our home and I don't want to even mention this lump to my family , I've had this for a while but I do feel unusual and the sweats are more frequent, it's really weird though when I press the lump it does make me feel really nauseous sort of sick feeling , I don't even know if I'm making any sense at all but if anyone can let me know I'd be grateful , thanks

  • No-one on the forum can diagnose or tell you what this is I'm afraid mw13 but you've done the right thing by booking in to see your doctor. If you get back in touch with your GP surgery and let them know you're willing to take any cancellations that pop up you may be able to get in a bit sooner but in the meantime try not to keep touching or pressing it if you can as it may make you fixate and worry about it more.

  • Yes I understand, sorry this is just really lonely, my grandad just passed away from cancer , me and my family cared for him at home so it would be cruel on my family to even mention this at this time, that's the very earliest the docs can see me , I'm also a carer for my mum who has copd , I've had this for a while (at least 3 months) but have only noticed lately how tired and weak I'm still feeling , before I thought I was just worn out , the lump is not hard or bone like, it just feels really strange and it's like a deep burn and sick feeling after I touch it, (lump is about same size as tipof little finger) I'm not feeling right at all I'm feeling confused , I seem to be eating a lot but weight is disspearing , I keep waking up soaked , I need to know what's going on asap or even if someone else has had these same things and can let me know I would much appreciate it, Sorry if this don't make a lot of sense and thanks for taking the time to read
