I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
I recently went to my GP as I had pain in my armpit which came on very suddenly and I had found a small lump in this area. I was given antibiotics and the Dr confirmed she could feel a lump and told me to go back one week later if the antibiotics didn't clear it.
The pain and lump was still present so I went back, saw another GP and she examined me and explained the lump is actually in my breast and not armpit albeit very close. She referred me to the breast clinic saying it was routine to and I am still waiting for the appointment to come through.
This evening I felt another lump on the same breast which is small and hard. It was painless until I started to feel it then it became slightly tender. I am very worried and only 26 years old with a young son. My maternal grandmother had BC and I'm terrified. The appointment hasn't come through yet and I can imagine I am in for a very long wait. Should I go back to the GP to tell them of the newly discovered lump or wait until my appointment.
Could it be BC or is it likely to be something else? Probably an impossible question but I am just looking for some reassurance I suppose.
