Ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound progress

Hi all so I am 24, TMI WARNING

I went to the doctor recently complaining as I hadent had a propper period but brown spotting for 3 months I had pain during sex loss of appetite lost a stone in weight and constantly peeing ( this is the wierd bit ) I did a pregnancy test come back positive however IM NOT PREGNANT!!!

ANYWAY so he sent me for the ultrasounds above and the nurses didnt tell me much but I heard her say to the other lady 8.5 on left

So I'm assuming this could be a cyst anyway I was just wondering if anyone had a large cyst and whether it resulted in cancer I'm going out of my mind as I got 2 young kiddies and I'm super scared :(

  • Hi, I’m 23 and going through the same thing as you, frequent weeing, brown spotting and loss of appetite, i’ve noticably lost weight, i’m booked in for a scan in a couple of weeks but i’m already freaking out too. As far as I know both my mum and aunty have had cysts before and there is no history of cancer in my family so i’m hoping and praying it could just be that.

  • Hi i went for a scan and a transvaginal last week as i also have really bad lower back pain and a dull tummy pain i also had a smear and came back saying i had stage 1a1 cancer but had a lletz and they are pretty sure its all removed so this is to check too see if theres anything else going on im really hoping its all fine i hopefully will have my results this week fingers crossed as ive been so worried.

The transvaginal doesnt hurt at all and they are so friendly and talk to relax you if you have anything else youd like to ask then go ahead and ill try and help

  • Hi, Sorry to hear this and I hope they got everything, thank god it was caught relatively early! Just wondering how old you are?

    Thanks,

  • Hey its ok just more tests to be on the safe side and yes they caught it early Im 37 not a young one anymore haha.

  • Hi - hope you don’t mind me jumping in.  I’m 37 with 3 kids and previous large loop excision.  I went to docs last week with abnormal bleeding, needing to pee all the time, pelvic and back pain (all symptoms for about 7 weeks).  He said my cervix was rough and had black marks so I was referred to specialist.  She said my cervix was soft with no lumps when she pressed my tummy and was confident it wasn’t cancer.  However still referred me for colposcopy and scan.  Can she be wrong? Can you tell if it is cancer just from an internal? Doctor seemed really concerned when he referred me so still slightly worried. Has anyone experienced consultant saying they think it’s fine for it to come back as cancer?! Thanks all x

  • Hey all so I got my results today and was all clear !!!

Just read some of your comments though In sorry for your news and am wishing you all the best xxxx

  • So glad to hear! Any idea what caused your symptoms?

  • Not a clue i have finally had a period after 3 months without one and its come with a vengeance! I have re booked my doctors for Monday as he also wanted me to have a smear done so I'll keep everyone updated on what's said/done!

Good luck to everyone having test scans atm please everyone keep us updated x xx

  • Hey all just thought id let you know how my scan and transvaginal results well they are clear thank god but had another colposcopy yesterday and another large biopsy was taken but doctorsaid it looks fine so fingers crossed it comes back as clear will know more in a few weeks xx

  • Congrats! That’s great news, hopefully you get the all clear now, you must be relieved! Had my ultrasound last week and should be getting the results tomorrow, I’m feeling a lot calmer as the nurse who did the ultrsounds said she couldn’t see anything worrying on there, really do still need an answer though, still going to ask for a cervical screening even if i’m given the all clear.
