I'll try to cut a long story short, in April I had a lump come up on my neck that grew progressively over 3 weeks to look like a golf ball on the left side of my neck. I booked an appointment with my GP, who urgently referred me. I had a biopsy taken, which came back inconclusive, followed by a CT and MRI scan, these came back clear and a fine needle aspiration which also came back inconclusive, although no cancer cells were detected. The lump has now gone down and cannot be seen but I have an appointment next week for a panendoscopy and excision of the mass. The excision doesn't bother me but I don't understand why I need a panendoscopy, just wondering if anyone had been through anything similar as I wasnt really informed about the panendoscopy until my pre op and it didn't sink in until I went home.
Sorry about the rambling I'm driving myself insane!
