Very sorry to hear about your Mum’s diagnosis.

There are certain features that Doctors can look for on xrays and scans that can provide a lot of information, including whether or not something appears to be a cancer. 

Biopsies are still required for an exact diagnosis to help plan treatment though. 

I’m sure they wouldn’t give you a diagnosis unless they were convinced.

Thanks Rich, we’re just in limbo right now. We’re waiting for a scan but we don’t know what type/where the cancer started or what the prognosis is. She had blood tests done but she won’t call for the results. I feel so helpless right now. 

I can well imagine how difficult it must be for you and your family at the moment, and how scary it must be for your Mum.

It’s an awful lot for you all to take in and process and your Mum may not have fully accepted it yet.
