Hi Everyone,
I have been doing a lot of reading through this forum and found it very helpful.
3 weeks ago I had an internal ultrasound due to extreme period pains, pains 3/4 weeks of the month and irregular bleeding and was put on the suspected cancer pathway. I was told the I had a 6cm 'lump' on my left ovary.
Since i have had my gynogology appointment which she told me it was actually 7.5 x 6.7 x 5.1cm and that it was complex and in my ovary rather than on. I have been referred for an MRI within the next 2 weeks and just had my CA125 and another blood test. I have been told then a Multidisciplary team will meet with my results and disuss a diganosis and treatment. I've been made aware that due to the size i will more than likely need an op.
I am currently working full time whilst in my last 5 weeks of university so its a lot to take on. I am concerned at the possibility of cancer but have a very open mind.
My quesion is what do people in regards to pain management? I haven't been given anything for the pain and paracetamol and ibprofen dont even touch it. Im forever attached to a hotwater bottle. Before we knew it was a 'lump' i was precribed tramadol! which made me very unwell and ended up taking a trip to A&E.
As im only 25 im also concerned about the possibility of loosing my ovary or even more btu again have an open mind on this.
Any advice would be appriciated.
Thanks :)
