As telemando says, no one, not even a doctor, can tell from a photo if this is a mole to be concerned about. If it's one you have always had and it has started to change in any way, including itching and scaly, you are advised to see your GP. If they have a specialism in dermatology they may look at it through a dermascope (microscope) which will show them any abnormal cells or will show that's absolutely fine. If they don't have a dermascope and they are unsure if it's a concern, they will refer you to a dermatologist who is better trained in checking moles. It may well be that your mole has just dried out and become itchy but it needs checking for your peace of mind and, if it is of concern, to ensure it's caught and treated quickly. If it takes some time to get a GP appointment, take a photo of the mole & then you can show what it looked like now in case it has changed again. Good luck and please let us know how you get on,
