Spotting after coughing/sneezing? (docs next week)

So I have to wait til next week to see the doctors (it’s been half term and Easter bank holiday etc) and I really don’t want to go but symptoms are getting worse. I’m 29, Mum of 3. I had my youngest last May. I’ve been spotting and having pelvic pain since early Feb. Spotting seemed random at first but now it’s heavier and seems to be linked to coughing/sneezing/bowel movements?? It’s also when I’m active, and after intercourse it’s quite heavy. I thought it was stress but it’s not stopped. I know there’s lots of other things it could be but there’s also red flags and I’m worried that I should have gone earlier.

It’s a huge hassle to get to the doctors. I can’t talk to my husband as he lost his dad to cancer at a young age and he will fret. Feel like not bothering going but I can’t put up with the symptoms anymore.

  • Welcome to the forum RaspberryCola.

I noticed no-one had replied to your post yet so I just wanted to stop by and reassure you that you're doing the right thing by seeing your doctor about these symptoms as they will be able to investigate and find out what is the cause.

Although it may not seem like it right now, you will be glad you went as it you will finally have the chance to get this off your chest and put your mind at ease.

Hopefully some of our members will be along soon to offer their support and advice as well.

    Kind regards,

  • Oh RaspberryCola, you already know the right thing to do, and you will worry until you do it. On tuesday morning, get the next available appointment with your GP.

I also think you need to tell your husband, too.  There should be no secrets between a couple, and anway I think if you don't tell him soon, then he will soon sense something is wrong (if he hasn't already).

Sickness is a fact of life and trying to hide it from one's family, no matter how noble one's motives, is usually a massive mistake.
