I'm scared please advise me what to do next

I recently had my period .then 4 days later I had the sudden urge to go to the loo.i started heavily gushing blood with huge clots coming away ,chronic pain in both front and back.i rang 111 who rang me an ambulance.once in hospital I was poked in abdomen asked lots of questions.then said I was going to gynecology ward.when I arrived there the nurse  asked me to go into the room and remove my lower half of clothing.i gathered I was having a internal.she said she could see alot of blood and clots coming from the right in my cervix.no swaps was done.she left me to get dressed.10 mins later to arrive with a pack of tablets 5 days worth to help stop the bleeding.(clotting agent I guess).

Ive been home four days now.still bleeding lightly but no clots but the pain in my front, sides and back is unbearable. I have had signs of cells changes within my cervix over last few years and thought that maybe at the hospital  more would of been done .that  maybe I would have some  answers to why it happened im scared it is more sinister.

**I'm new here sorry if i have posted it to the wrong category**

  • Hi If I were you I'd go to doctor get a double check to make sure that everything is OK don't forget to tell them everything.

  • Hello,

what a scary experience, I too suffered with very heavy periods and was prescribed meds to calm them....I think it was something like "meafamic acid" hope I spelt that right! But in light of your cell changes in the past and the pain I would defo say a doctor appointment would help put your mind at rest......it's the only way to know for certain......xxx

  • Oh my goodness your poor thing.

I can’t believe how you were treated.  It doesn’t sound as though you had any explanations.  So many things going around in my head - could you have been pregnant?  Even if they did give you something like tranexamic acid it’s not right to pack you off without a full explanation.  I am so sorry you were treated like that by hospital nurses.  Were you even seen by a doctor?

You deserved explanations as to why this was happening to you.  Contact your GP.  They should have sent electronically a Discharge Summary to him with diagnisis, treatment and need for follow up.
