Of course your worried, but even with spread it can be treated.....it's an invasive ductal carcinoma isn't it? Same as mine....the key to all this is treatment, I can't fault our NHS, I total faith in them....as soon as treatment begins you will feel relief....on the right path to getting it all sorted and your life back on track.....xxx

Thank you.  You are right and I keep thinking a week Wednesday when it’s out and lymph nodes gone I will feel relief.   In my mind the cancer, as I know it will be gone.  I know there is a lot more treatment to go through but it will be so good to know it’s gone into the hospital incinerator.

Thank you for replying. I’m hoping it’s a cyst or fibroid. All I can do is cross my fingers until Thursday! I’m panicking less now,I guess what will be will be and I can’t change that. But I have this lovely group to support me no matter what xxx

Totally agree! I’ve never been prouder to work for the nhs. The support we’ve given over the years is now being returned and it’s very comforting xxx

I’m getting very nervous. I’d managed to calm myself down over the weekend but yesterday I had a day off and I stupidly went onto google for a very long time. I googled everything about breast lumps and bc and have managed to convince myself I have the latter due the shape and feel of my lump. My lump isn’t even a lump in the sense of a circular lump,I’d describe it as more of an oval ‘splat’ shape and very rough and bumpy and hard. I can move it about however. 

I keep telling myself I’ve got this far,only two days to go and thankfully I have two 12.5hr shifts in work before thurdsy to keep my mind occupied. But I’m more worried now than before. I managed about three hours sleep last night:-(

I’m hiding it well from my 12 year old but I’m a bag of nerves I’ll be honest :-( xxx

Hi ladies

Just letting you know I got my results today and it was as expected - invasive ductal carcinoma grade 2. I'm scheduled for a lumpectomy on 16th April then 4 weeks of radiotherapy after, also tablets as its estrogen recepter positive. 

Trying to think positive though!! xxx

It makes me sad to read this. I hope you’re ok.
