I am 21 year old male.
Symptoms :
Lump inside of neck. Size of a grape. Hard, does not move. (been there approx six months)
Weight loss. (although i had been trying to diet and gym same as i had been for years. This time the weight came off far too quick and easy approx 4 stone in 4 months.) Havent been to gym in almost three months and have been eating like a pig since and havent gained a pound.
Night fever. So hot at night I cant sleep with a duvet. If i do sleep with duvet i wake up in a puddle of sweat, as if Ive wet the bed.
Cough and shortness of breath, permanent cough the past year or so. Put it down to smoking as i smoke about 10 per day past three years but I'm not sure that could cause this. Ive friends who smoke much heavier and for longer with no cough.
Red patches. Ive several small red patches on my torso area. (not itchy) My GP said it is a fungal infection.
Hair loss: my body hair has thinned out massively over the past year or so. Chest and abdominal hair has really thinned out. Chest and back hair have thinned out with several big patches completely bald.
All of these symptoms are associated with lymphoma, (the last two a symptom of T-Cell lymphoma particularly) upon finding this out I went straight to my GP. He seemed to be suspicous I had lymphoma too and ran blood tests and sent me for a chest xray and ultra sound on my neck.
Bloods came back fine apart from a minor low liver function.
Today chest xray and ultra sound results came back fine.(during the ultrasound the radiographer didnt seem to focus too much on where the actual lump)
My GP said everything was fine?
Basically I have been given news that many of you would dream to hear, but I am so confinced that they have missed something. Where do I go from here? Something must be causing these symptoms as they are very distinctive and consistant? After ringing me with results the GP has not suggested any further action or testing? Should i go for a second opinion?
if anyone has any helpful advice or found themselves in a similar situation please let me know. Thank you so much for reading
*important to note* I have been type 1 diabetic for 4 years but blood sugars have been perfect all the time and none of these symptoms are related to diabetes as far as my research goes
