Im not a doctor and can’t advise about symptoms other than I have been a type 1 diabetic for 57 years and I get red patches which are a fungal infection. I was told by my doctor that diabetics often have this. Also I quite often have night sweats if my blood sugar drops overnight. I’ve just invested in a freestyle libre and have discovered my blood sugar can drop quite dramatically during the night without hypo symptoms but come back up in the morning. As for your other symptoms I can’t say that I’ve had any of those.If you feel a second opinion would be useful  then I would say go for it, If only to put your mind at rest.

I hope that has been a help. And just a little advice from someone who’s been there...don’t consult dr google. He can convince you that you’ve got anything. Seek that second opinion from a real doctor. I hope you get this sorted out.

i also sweat with hypos at night, but check ive checked them every time which i wake up sweating and they are always withing range usually around the 7 mark. These night sweats i have been experiencing are mych more intense and require the sheets to be changed.

As I was reading through your symptoms sounded quite similar to myself - I am also 21 and have Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I had the cough for about a year before diagnosis and had weight loss. I also became very breathless. I have realised through my own situation and others that I've seen/heard about, thatthat lymp isnt always the most straightforward thing to diagnose. For me, it took me to have to go to a&e with extreme breathlessness before I eventually had scans/biopsies and was diagnosed. Before this my doctor had diagnosed me with asthma so came as a massive shock. I will point out though that nothing had come back on my bloods to indicate anything was wrong and it took a 3rd person to actually realise something did show to be unusual on my x-ray as the first two doctors believed it to be normal. It was the CT scan that then showed inflammation and that I needed a biopsy.

So have you had any CT scans? If not, maybe suggest having one to your doctor so that you can get peace of mind. I don't want to scare you and obviously I'm not a doctor so I'm not really qualified to say what's best to do, but based on my own situation, I think you should perservere to have more testing until they can give an actual reason as to what is causing your symptoms. At the end of the day we know when something doesn't feel right that's happening to our own body and so if you have noticed these symptoms and they have been ongoing for a while you have every right to get all the tests you need to find out what's going on.

It's definitely worth it. It's hard to say how long though because I had mine whilst I was an inpatient and so the request for scans etc is much quicker. I would just stress to your doctor that you are concerned about your symptoms and hopefully he can then refer for further testing.
