Totally understand your worry, how are you coping?  Do you have a good support network around you?

One thing I can say is that it is entirely normal to be seeing a surgeon.  Breast clinics are staffed by breast surgeons and breast nurses.  That's the way it's been for as long as I can remember.  Although they are surgeons they are also the specialists in diagnosing various conditions of the breast that won't require surgery.

Whatever the outcome we're all here, please let us know what happens.

Thank you twintwo, I’m anxious tbh, did the dreaded google and now convinced it’s going to be bad news! I don’t really have anyone to talk to, but your reply has already put me at ease knowing this is “normal” procedure.

As Twin Two says it is normal procedure and the nurses and docs at the breast clinic are wonderful people in tune with all our fears and anxieties. Keep in touch as the support on here is amazing!

Hi there, I found a lump in my right breast and saw a GP on the 6th Feb. She asked me if I had any puckering, I said no. After feeling the lump she looked at my breat and pointed out a small line dent, I hadn't noticed it before. I am going to the beast clinic 19th Feb and I am terrified! I won't tell anyone other than my mum until I know what's going on. I wish I could think of something else.

I’m sorry to hear your going through this too wheels, I’ve had my mammogram today so now just to wait a week for the results, how did you get on? I hope it’s good news XX
