Feeling worried

After being recalled after my first mammogram at the age of 47 the nurse told me that something was showing on my right breast. A further mammogram was taken, then I had a scan where it could be seen quite clearly. I had the fine needle thing to try and drain whatever it is, but no joy. So a core needle biopsy was taken and I get my results tomorrow. I have kept myself busy but as this day looms I am a little apprehensive to say the least. Is this normal??

  • Of course it is normal.  Everyone works themselves into a state while waiting for results (well maybe not everyone but I think it applies to most people!)  At least you won't have too much longer to wait but I am guessing it will be a long night.  Please let us know when you get your results; hopefully it will be good news!  Annie

  • Hi Alikay,

Will be thinking about you tomorrow.  It is certainly normal to be apprehensive, anxious, sick even when waiting for biopsy results.

At least you don't have long to wait.  Please let us know how you get on.  Hopefully it will be a reason to have a mini celebration, but if not we are all here.
